So regarding the "charges against Lt Commander Timothy White for discharging a firearm on federal property" appear to have been entirely fabricated by a blogger named Allen West. I sorted the search results by date and found that he was the first person to make mention of this.
His "confirmation" of the story came via a text message asking if it was okay if Lt Cmdr White contacted him (White never did so).
That is not a confirmation and no one ever sent that text.
Allen West lied.
It's a shame there's no downside to him doing that. There's nothing stopping anyone from making up wild lies about whatever they want.
The great thing about the internet is you can actually discover who the first person was to write something. Be that a joke, a story or a lie.
Allen West is who I (David Buschhorn of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho) am accusing of lying, fabricating and trying to garner attention for himself.
For reference, whenever you see a story that sounds too incredible, too unbelievable, too insane? Check the web and see if that story is being covered by, say, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, etc.. If not?
Probably made up.
